Cut and paste suddenly stopped working overnight in Calc - only pastes graphic, not cell data

As per the topic. Linux Mint, fully updated, default LibreOffice calc

I have no clipborad manager installed.
Using paste special only offers graphics options (BMP & PNG formats).

+c and +v work fine in Writer, defaults to a graphics image paste in Calc.

Reported version is 24.2.7.2

Further information … this problem seems to only be associated with copying/cutting within Calc. Copying from another source such as Writer pastes correctly into Calc, but copying from within Calc to any other app just pastes a BMP.

Also, starting in safe-mode doesn’t change the behaviour

Any ideas?

This (wrong) behavior of Calc has already been mentioned in one topic below. No workaround yet, it seems to be linked with Plasma.

I tried LO Calc after relogging in using Wayland, same result

Thank you Steph1, I did look for similar postings but didn’t see anything in the search which looked like it was related. Sorry to have double posted, but hopefully it adds to the store of knowledge. I see prisby has the same issue on Wayland too.

Your initial post is important as it proves that @beaucoup is not alone in this situation.

I have just discovered LO Writer does same thing now. If I enter text into a text box, then copy and paste, I cannot edit text again, its now just an image. Same happens with an object, such as a line, copy and paste a line and I get an image that I cannot edit.
Even stranger, I have a desktop, running same Tuxedo OS, with same updates and latest version of LO and LO copy and paste functions correctly. Laptop has these problems, desktop no problem

Leads me to think there must be some setting somewhere?

Where are all LO preferences stored? Maybe delete the app, remove all preferences, then reinstall is worth a try?
