Dark Mode Toggle?

Is there a way to toggle Dark/Light mode from the main UI without going through Tools > Options > (searching through a bunch of unfamiliar options) > toggling the incorrect dark mode toggle >> REPEAT > finding the correct dark mode toggle > getting what I want > forgetting where I was in my work?

The User Journey in just toggling light/dark is not short enough, it’s very nice to type most of my work in dark mode, but as I’m using a GUI WYSIWYG editor, I’d like to be able to quickly toggle it on/off from either a GUI button or somewhere more convenient.

As it stands, the dark mode is not as well integrated with the rest of the system, but is generally usable, but when it’s not, having to go through this many steps to toggle it on/off is not something I find acceptable to my workflow.

For reference, I’m using Ubuntu 22.04 and the libreoffice that’s available through the main repos.

Hi @paulgupta and welcome!
Do you want to talk about it?

Well, that’s great! If this User whole Journey consists of this, then let it be difficult! Mistakes should leave scars, that’s life.
Sorry for the inappropriate sarcasm - I never change the interface appearance following the old commandment “If the program works - then don’t change anything”.
Actually, I wanted to ask - how often do you change the program appearance? By time of day and depending on the lighting? Or by mood? I really want to help, I just don’t understand what exactly the problem is.
Please explain - how often do you need such switching? Perhaps you wanted to ask, “How to set up night mode by system clock”, no?
Ah, I saw - parallel use of a graphic editor. Can you tell me more?

Upd. If I understand your problem correctly, you forget where this switch is?

I want to warn you right away - in the next version that you install, this will be in a different place and will look different.
