Is it possible for default text in a text box to clear up once you try to type inside of it?
so that you don’t have to delete the default text before typing in?
Thank you

What default text you meant? When i insert a new textbox into a Writer document, that is empty. (LO 6.1.6) Did you copied an existing (non-empty) one?
Please upload a screenshot and a sample document here.

I’m sorry maybe I wasn’t clear. I’m trying to make a form. In the fillable box, I have something like “Enter your name”. But on the final PDF form, I have to delete that text first, to actually fill it out the name. I’ve seen forms where you just click on the box, then that default text disappears so you can just go ahead and type your name. I was just wondering if that option is possible using this program.
I can suggest only one workaround:
Do not write anything into the form element.

When you fill it in a PDF reader, the LibreOffice functions will not work.
The fill-in properties - after you exported the document onto PDF format - depend on features of the PDF reader software only.
I see… got it.
Thank you for your time!
