How do I display and edit a Writer file in horizontally Split view?
The MS Word feature to split the screen is not available (maybe there is an enhancement request on the bugzilla).
However, you can use the menu Windows > New window. It will open another instance of LO with the same file. Any change in one window will of course be visible real time in the other one. The only drawback is that screen real estate is lost with the toolbars being shown twice.

Yes, that’s already what I do (the formatting toolbar is unnecessary with the side bar). But still, that makes 2 windows with the menus, windows decoration…
Not a big deal I know, but for users used to that feature in MS Word, I understand it can be lacking in LO.
