Docs Exported From Master Can't Be Edited

No matter what I try, I can’t turn off read-only in documents exported from my master. The best I’ve been able to do is use the “sections” menu and get one page (out of more than 300) editable. What am I missing?

Here are the details; using Libre Office version 7.6 I am creating master documents - ODM files created from seventy or eighty ODT files. I am then exporting a complete ODT file from the master using the “export” command. The resulting ODT document cannot be edited - even if re-saved as a DOCX file.

Is there some way to create a single, editable document from my ODM file?

Thank you for your earlier response and request for clarification.

Roughly, everything.

Irony apart, edit your question(= add to it, don’t use a comment) to provide minimal descriptive information: OS name, LO version, document save format.
You mention a “master”. Are you really working with master document (extension .odm) + sub-documents (extension .odt)?

How is your document structured? What do you mean by “exporting”? (which menu command do you use?)

Give as many details so that we can try and reproduce the problem.
