Does any Libre Office program switch off screensavers?

Libre Office 25.2.4.3 on Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.4351

Does any Libre Office program switch off Windows screensavers?

Scenario: left Calc, Impress, Writer running, all minimized to task bar, came back about an hour later, no screensaver. Closed all three, ten minutes later screensaver kicked in.

When Impress is running a presentation, it will disable the screensaver, see tdf#120326

Saw that in the release notes. But no presentation was running.

Is it possible that the screensaver stays off if you close a presentation but keep Impress running for editing?

If you find out how to reproduce, I will fix this. The code indeed disables and enables screen saver for the duration of slide show only; if there is a scenario when final code is not run, that would need to be handled.

I changed tags from “base” (Database) to “Impress, Common”, as the topic seems not related to databases.

OK.

Tested Impress on its own, first without running a display, then with running a display of presentation, and dropping back to edit mode, both times minimizing applications to Windows task bar. Screensaver came on as expected.

Second test, open Writer and Calc docs, plus Impress, including display mode dropping back to edit. Minimized to task bar. Screensaver came on as expected.

Tomorrow I will run these tests again after a system reboot.

Thank you all for your help so far.

(I seem to have lost the ability to insert paragraph spaces on this board.)

Sorry Wanderer. My bad.

Thank you all

It seems I have been wasting everyone's time.

I repeated the experiment described above after a system restart. Everything worked exactly as it should have.

So I'm closing this thread as solved. Again, thanks to everyone for suggestions,
