downloaded libre 6.2.3 to my computer programs, but I cannot access any of the libre programs

Downloaded Libre Office 6.2.3 to my computer no problem.
It is in my computer programs list.
I ticked for shortcut icon to my desktop, but it did not appear.
Can not open a libre spreadsheet I made up recently.
WHY??

Which OS do you use?

Did you try opening LibreOffice, then open Calc. In Calc, choose File>Open from the menu. Select your desired file, mark it and click OK.
