Properties is missing cap type. Graphics Styles > Lines affects other lines too.
Plerase word your questions sufficiently precise and avoid slang.
This is an international forum in English language.
What’s a “cap type” ?
Cap is the “detailed” shape at the end of a thick line. Draw offers 3 possibilities:
- flat: the line ends abruptly at the exact end coordinate
- rounded: a disc is added, centred on the end with diameter equal to line thickness
- square: same with a square
The last two options cause the line to be visually longer then the mathematical distance between the end coordinates.
You can create a new style.
What’s imprecise? And there’s no slang.
Google: In LibreOffice Draw, a cap type refers to the shape of the end of a line or a dashed line, which you can change in the Line properties under Corner and Cap Styles . You can find this setting by right-clicking an object, selecting Edit Style , and navigating to the Line tab.
Sorry. My English seems to be too bad, and I didn’t ask Google, but my dictionary.
There was no meaning of “Cap” related to this question.
Yes, once in a while my understanding of “modern American English” misleads me to suspect slang, and I would still not think of calling a line end a “cap”.
No problem!
The Properties side pane does not show all properties of an object.
For a line, it is better to right-click after selection and choose Line.
