edit list of autocorrect words

How can I edit the list of autocorrect words?

For instance, I inadvertently added an autocorrect from “mouldy” (British spelling) to “moldy” (American spelling)
and I want to remove that autocorrection.

I have tried:
Tools | Autocorrect | Autocorrect Options

Is there anywhere else I need to look?

You’re almost there. Tools | Autocorrect | Autocorrect Options. Click on the Replace tab. In the Replace field type moldy to find the entry in the list below. Highlight (click on) the word in the list and hit Delete button, OK out.

You might also want to make sure Word Completion doesn’t have it in. Mine only collects 8 letter or longer words but if yours has a different setting it might have added it.

Check to make sure you aren’t using a different language than expected in your document, or part of document. Cheers, Al

Thanks for helping.
I turned off Word Completion but it still changes “mouldy” to “moldy”.
I then turned off the autocorrect use table option. It now doesn’t change “mouldy” to “moldy”.
But that seems like a sledgehammer approach (not your suggestion: mine) and I’d rather find
where “mouldy” is located in the settings and delete the correction.

So moldy was not found in Autocorrect in the Replace list? In the drop down list above the tabs make sure you have English (UK) or English (Australia), whichever language you are using in your documents, selected, not English (USA) if that is not the one you want

Bingo! That was it! I hadn’t noticed that option. It was currently set to English Australian (“mouldy” not
there), but following your suggestion I switched to English USA and there it was! Now deleted. Thanks
again. I had almost given up trying to find how fix my issue.
