I’m having trouble editing controls in a large form in Base. I have about 75 controls on the form, they are mostly 1 line text entry and check boxes. However the label text is too small for all of them. I was able to change the text size by individually selecting each one using the shift button, but now the label height is too small and it’s cutting off the bottom of all of the texts. I cannot find a way to bulk edit the height of all of the label fields. I have to specifically use ctrl-select on each label field to change the height because if I select the entire control for the check boxes, a strange grey block is added under the checkbox when I change the height of the entire control, and it is impossible to remove with any action I choose. I just want the text size of all the controls to increase without all of these problems. Is there an easy way to do this simple request?
Have you tried to correct the situation without all these actions? After all, do you just want to see the entire shape in a larger view? So increase the display scale in the form (View - Zoom - Zoom) editing mode, for example 120% or 150% or even 200% and save the form… Is this fix not suitable?
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you happen to know how to force the text within a label to wrap so that it fits within the label space? Right now long label text is simply cut off.
May be so?
Chose all controls at once. Open the properties field for controls. You could set the font size for all controls, also the font itself.
If you will change only the label fields: Press Shift + Ctrl while selecting all fields. Right mouse click → control properties. Only change the properties for the font.
Don’t change the position! If you change the position all controls will be moved to this position.
