How do I anchor photos in my document. Have tried all the options, anchor to paragraph, page, character, but they still don’t stay where I put them. There are over 300 pages in my document, is that the problem?
Over 300 pages with images sounds like a candidate for a master document.
If you anchor images As Character they won’t jump around.
If you add an image before, then all the following images will be pushed forward, this may make unacceptable areas of white space where there isn’t room for the image. This is always a problem with images in documents. I deal with it by waiting until the text is finished and then going through from the beginning of the document placing each image as I want it. Sometimes I edit the text to add or remove sentences so everything did nicely. Sometimes, I resize or crop the image. Some images I will then anchor To Paragraph so the text can wrap.
