Enable double strikethrough in Libreoffice writer

"How to enable double strikethrough in Libreoffice writer "
Is there a way to put a button on the menu ribbon so I don’t need to go through this operation each time I want to use a double strikethrough?

To direct formatting: choose menu Format - Character… - Font Effects tab, and next to Strikethrough: select Double.

Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x64); OS: Windows 10.0.

There is no command to Double Strikethrough, so no button and no shortcut key. You can do it with a macro.

If your goal is to “automate” this formatting for a single-stroke procedure, I would rather recommend to create a character style with the desired properties and associate it with a keyboard shortcut.

Note however you can apply only one character style on any sequence. Consequently, you must think ahead and design a consistent style set (paragraph and character) which will confer a distinctive look to your documents.

Formatting a document is a matter of personal taste, so I can’t give targeted instructions. You are encouraged to read the Writer Guide, notably the chapters dedicated to styles.
