localc 7.4.7.2, can’t give the about info because not copying since new install.
mike@RPI4b2D:~> uname -a
Linux MikesPI 6.1.93 #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Dec 8 02:37:53 CET 2025 aarch64 GNU/Linux

This is a Raspberry PI 4b new install of Devuan exccalibur, the equivalent of Debian Trixie.
In a spreadsheet when I enter numbers in a cell the cell looks empty until I scroll the page up or down, can be a page or just a row and then the data in the cell shows.
Any suggestions what’s causing this or how to fix it are welcome,
Thanks,
Mike

Do you mean that Copy button doesn’t work?

No can do.
LOcalc 7.4.7.2 for the PI has the issue that adjusting the window perimeter ins’i updated until I click another edge. In trying to fix that I installed from excalibur back-ports which pulled a slew of libs and then localc wouldn’t run at all so I purged it and reinstalled but apparently that didn’t get rid of some of the libs from back-ports because LOcalc wouldn’t run at all again and I’ve no reason to trust the system at all.
I’m in the midst of rebuilding a daedalus install to try upgrading to excalibur again.

So far you folks are ignoring the whole point of this question of undisplayed cell entries.

Be Well,
Mike

Would you like to realise that you are most likely the only one on earth who uses this combination of “hardware” and “software”?

With on the order of 68M PIs all running some version of Linux, all having access to LOcalc, I doubt I’m alone.
And with c. 2600 members on the Dev1Galaxy list it seems likely some will be using SOC/SBCs.
Cheers,
Mike

Yes, there are so e users of Raspberry Pi, but I guess not all of them use Devuan and it seems you play(?):a bit with your install, as you wrote:

Quoted from here:

This platform is teeming with LO specialists; you’re in the wrong place with your problem! I suspect you’re not a hardware/software whiz who can write programs, functions, and drivers. My recommendation: find someone like that. Finding a working solution that meets your specific requirements among the multitude of μCs, interfaces, OSs, drivers, and application programs is becoming increasingly difficult — or rather, the problems are growing exponentially.

Actually I’m a retired Sr, Electronics Engineering tech, who has also been paid to write the code for several projects.
According to a quick web search:
’ As of March 2025, approximately 68 million Raspberry Pi units have been sold worldwide.’ Based on data gleaned on Raspberry Pi - Wikipedia and www.tomshardware.com. That’s only the PI, there are several SOC/SBCs on the market all running some version of Linux and all have access to Libreoffice.
Trying to blame the hardware for an issue with LOcalc is self defeating.
Welcome to the real world.
Mike

like a couple of dozens …

or rather hobbyists

sadly, having numerous channels doesn’t help to raise the average level of users and hobbyists.
