erractic scrolling in Calc 5.4

I tried ver. 5.3 and 5.4 but scrolling in Calc is very erratic.
I am currently using 5.2.7 and scrolling works perfectly-very smooth.
Advice to cure the erratic scrolling problem would be appreciated.

Cursor keys scroll document in Calc instead of moving

After upgrading to LibreOffice 5.3.0.3 from 5.2, my 4 cursor keyboard keys in LibreOffice Calc has changed behavior. Instead of changing the active cell (by moving the black rectangle), they instead scroll the document (e.g. if columns A-V are currently shown on my screen, pressing the right cursor key scroll the document so that columns B-W are shown instead). I am experiencing something similar. Check this posting to see if the circumstances and symptoms are similar to what is documented there. Are you experiencing the same thing?

Something similar. What’s happening is that for a small movement of the cursor I get a large movement of the scroll bar either horizontally or vertically.
