Hello!
I opened LO Base and I was not able to access the tables in an embedded HSQLDB database. The error message included "The connection could not be established. The database was created by a newer version of LibreOffice.”
After unsuccessfully changing the class path, I cleaned it and executed the procedure described under the topic “OpenOffice file: The database was created by a newer version of LibreOffice”. However, after running the wizard Split_HSQLDB_2.3.2_Wizard_v3d.odb tables were not available and I was getting the message “error in script file line: 1 Unexpected token UNIQUE, requires COLLATION in statement”.
After a lot more search and trial I decided to uninstall LibreOffice and reinstall it.
At this point, I have a newer version of LO - 7.2.4.1, a split database and when I run the referred wizard I get the message “The connection to the data source “Split_HSQLDB_2.3.2_Wizard_v3d” could not be established. wrong database file version: unsupported old database version /build/libreoffice/parts/libreoffice/build/connectivity/source/drivers/jdbc/Object.cxx:175”.
In the driver folder I have the files hsqldb.jar and sqltool.jar, version 2.6.1.
I am running LO on Ubuntu 20.04.3 LT.
Can you tell me what to do to regain access to those data tables?
Hello,
Can you post the original Base embedded file provided the info is not personal/confidential.
It appears you originally added a class path to a different HSQLDB jar file causing the problem. Once done, need to repair damage.
Contains personal info. Can I send it directly to you?
