Format Error 2.313843. How do you fix this error, if you can not open the file?
If LibreOffice can’t open your file, typical approach is to copy the file, rename the .odt to .ZIP and inspect the contents of the zip-file.
Is the “Format Error 2.313843.” all you have or is there more information available?
Restate my problem. Format Error discovered in the file in sub-document content .xml at 2.313843 (row, col). The file in question is an .ods file.
Then the logical way would be extracting content.xml and edit this file with a programmers editor, wich can handle long lines or an xml-editor.
Usually there is something strange at the named position or before.
Remove or delete and repack content.xml
As it is useful to have some experience with xml, I’d suggest to try the french java-tool named by Villeroy first.
Thanks for the fast reply-full message-Format Error 2.313843(row,col). That is all.
This doesn’t look like a Writer message. What is your file extension? .ods?
And if you really expect some help, help us to diagnose: mention your OS name, LO version and anything you have about your file.
Windows 10, Google Chrome. Using thumb drive to store my information from using a spreadsheet using LibreOffice.
Then edit your question to change tag from writer
to calc
otherwise you won’t reach the adequate contributors.
I am being asked to change my tag on my question-I can not figure how to do this? Change from writer to calc.
I’ve done it for you. The procedure is to click on the “pencil” button at end of question title. You didn’t mention your LO version (from Tools
>Abou LibreOffice
)
It is an error in content.xml.
Thanks for your help-problem solved!
