Is Use English function names selected in Tools | Options | LibreOffice Calc | Formula under Formula Options?
Definitely. A clear user error.
Hello,
I have installed Libre just yesterday, so I had no clue what to do, and your reply just gave
the required information, thanks. ;>)

Hello and thanks for your reply,
However, it didn’t help me because my application environment is in Finnish
and I couldn’t find corresponding commands???
Do I need to install Office again or can the environment been changed in flight?
BR

Libreoffice Calc (like Excel) uses localized function names.
Try SUMMA (instead of SUM).
In Libreoffice Calc (but not in Excel), there’s an option to display English function names (instead of localized ones) in formulas.
The method for this is indicated by colleague @robleyd above.
Hi
SUMMA was my first attempt, which were changed SUM immediately by program ???

The sidebar, the formula wizard and help files reveal all available functions.
