To my opinion database ranges should work the same as named ranges. If it doesn’t I’d consider it a bug.

I would like to thank @mikekaganski and others who have helped in identifying the problem within the source code. I hope this problem will be fixed in the future releases of LibreOffice. As for anyone else who might encounter the same issue before the new release, the last version where the named data range still works is the last version of 7.2.x which is 7.2.7.2. As soon as it moved to the earliest version of 7.3.x which is 7.3.0.1, it started to fail. Once again, I would like to thank everyone for helping me get to the bottom of this and I hope the new release will be coming out soon.
