Failing to open where I left off-is this never going to be fixed?

Normally it should return to the point in the document where I left off, when I start libreoffice writer. I reset the program and it worked temporarily-but if I change the page/background colors it stop working again. Really frustrating. No fix for this?

Yes, it’s there in the See Also Maybe. I ~often come across reports around this matter, and sometimes do something about some of them (when I can find a distinct pattern). That’s why I know how broken by design our position restore implementation is. The unbroken default functionality seems to try to open a writer document at the position where the user now opening it last had placed the view cursor.
