When filtering a column the drop down box is the size of the entire page and the ‘condition’ cannot be adjusted. See the screenshot, How can I fix this glitch?
This is only the case on some columns, others it is OK

Can you provide your LO version and OS? Also, have you been able to figure out any conditions that always cause a column to do this? Can you upload a “cleaned” example sheet that does this for some columns on your system?
Seems to be a bug that has existed since at least LibreOffice 6.x.x appearance.
The issue is partially resolved in LO 7.3.1.
