- In LibreOffice Calc version 25.8.2.2 (x86_64), the behavior of the Find bar has changed. Previously, when a search term was not found, the search bar itself would turn red — a clear and intuitive visual cue. Now, a pale blue popup appears several inches to the right of the search bar with the message “not found.” This change makes it much harder to notice failed searches, especially for users working quickly or with accessibility needs.
- Please consider restoring the red highlight behavior or allowing users to customize the feedback style (e.g., color, placement, or popup duration) in the interface settings. A more visible and user-configurable alert would greatly improve usability.

That notice, Search key not found, was always in that place, the change there is that the notice is now highlighted.
Black text on a red background might not be helpful to those with red-green colour blindness and made it harder to read the search term in any event. I recall some ask.libreoffice question to that effect.
If you use the Find & Replace dialogue (Ctrl+H), it still has the search term text coloured red if not found.
