Font colour for comments and other issues with libre writer in dark mode

Hi there,

First post here so apologies if I get this wrong. I use libre office in dark mode (linux mint 22.1), generally it works fine but some of the font colours don’t automatically adjust, I find this is particularly a problem in libre writer when I:

  1. Add a comment to a document. The font is automatically white in the yellow comment box which is hard to read in dark mode. I can change this to black which is legible against the yellow (right click on the comment and format all comments) but this only changes the individual comment, not all comments. Is there a way for this to be made a default setting or is there another work around?

  2. Similarly, in dark mode highlighted text is not legible - I guess the simplest way round this is to simply change the highlight colour but again I wonder if there is any other solution.

  3. Documents from other formats consistently don’t adjust to dark mode in libre writer. You generally have to ctrl + all and change the font colour. This generally works but not always. Again I just wonder if there is a better overall solution here.

Thanks for any advice or thoughts.

… and wich version of LibreOffice do you use?
Please check. “Latest” is no information at all, as I know 5 variants of latest for Mint…

there are a few dozens of bugs on the topic. IMHO, better stay away til it matures, if ever.
