For a few days now, the index of my file no longer displays page numbers but commas

A screenshot is insufficient to diagnose problems in general. Here we have an index which collects data from index entries located elsewhere in the document. The problem may be in the entries or, more probably, in the structure of the index where you might have erased the # insertion code.
Please, attach a reduced versionof your document to your question.
Fixed changing page style: page number> Page style> Page> Page numbers: none to 1, 2, 3.
