Force custom font for pdf export

Hi there,

I’ve installed a custom font to writer (and my mac0S) , but for some reason, some aspects of this font (I. E. bold italic) aren’t taken into account when I export my. odt file to PDF.

Any suggestion?

The font in question is EB Garamond.

Thanks!

I think there are two variants of the font included in the download; a variable font, and in the subfolder some static fonts.

There is only patchy support for variable fonts in LibreOffice so remove the variable font and install the static versions. They will export properly.

Thanks so much for the tip. I was wondering, indeed, about the static fonts and their use. I’ll try that.

This bug report Bug 108497 - Instantiate OpenType variable fonts when embedding in PDF, says that particular issue is fixed in Windows for LO 7.5 but I did only skim through it.

Using static fonts might be easiest for now.
