For some reason when using LibreOffice Calc it defaults 1/4 & 1/2 to a tiny subscipt no matter how I try to format it. Can anyone tell me where to change this default or is this a bug?
Don’t use fractions, use normal decimal number, e.g. 0.25 and format it as a fraction. Click Format > Cells and in the dialogue that opens select the Number tab, under Category select Fraction then choose how many places you need to give a good approximation.
In Writer, if you don’t want the 1/4 symbol you can press Ctrl+Z immediately and it will revert to as entered; in Calc the same trick will convert it to a date, e.g. 1/4/22
