In my current version of LibreOffice Calc (v25.2.4.3), I can’t find a way to format a text-box (add a line border, change the area fill color). In prior versions, as I recall, I only had to select the text-box (to display the handles, showing that it was active), then either right-click to get a drop-list of options, or select Format from the menu bar and then select…I don’t recall…“object” or “text-box” or “shape”, which would display a similar drop-list of options, including “line” and “area”. How do I do it now? Those options no longer are there.

Thanks, PKG. I’m getting old, and maybe a bit gaga…I was afraid I was losing it, not able to find some simple, obvious solution. It’s good to have a clear explanation (and in just 14 words! …that’s a trick you just gotta teach me).
This wasn’t a critical issue, and I can wait for the fix in the next version. I don’t want to create a text box in Write, format it there, and then copy and paste it into a Calc spreadsheet. That’s a Rube Goldberg cartoon.
Sorry it took me so long to express my appreciation. I was off-gid for a couple days. Thanks again.
