Please help me format a page in landscape
Edit your question to add LO version and system name. Please give a better description of what you want to achieve: a document, a spreadsheet, a presentation, a drawing, …?
For that retag to replace common by one of writer, calc, impress or draw. Or else, tell us you practice all LO components (=applications). The procedure is slightly different in each application.

Do you want to format one page to landscape in a portrait oriented ducument?
It is possible in the Writer application, but not in the Impress nor the Draw application.
And you can apply different page Style for each Sheets - with the desired orientation - in the Calc application.
