Formulas not exporting from writer

I am having some trouble with formula objects in LibreOffice, they are showing fine in the editors of both writer and math, and print to PDF fine from math, but don’t show up when the writer document is printed to a PDF, exported to a PDF, or in the thumbnails of the core LibreOffice executable.

I am currently using libreoffice-fresh 7.5.2-1, but libreoffice-still has the same issue. My operating system is the latest version of Arch with KDE Plasma, with the open source AMD/NVIDIA drivers (and NVIDIA prime) and OpenCL is installed, but if I turn it on for LibreOffice with either version, it drops the performance significantly. Hardware acceleration is on, but the issue is still there with it off. Images and objects are enabled in all printing settings.

I’ve looked for solution for a few weeks but not found any. Thank you for the help!

Please attach a 1- or 2-page sample file with the issue for diagnosis.

  • Dark mode seems to mess with equations. Text colour doesn’t update as intended.
  • Sighs i’ve been writing my maths assignment in .odt planning to export it. Oh yeah it’s due 3 hours ago :sob: GENUINELY my fault though.

Temporary fix;

  1. Set to light mode,
  2. click every single equation so it turns to black text,
  3. then export (ms print to pdf in my case)

Code fix;

Assuming that light mode is painted over the document when pressing print, but the Automatic Text colour misses the equations.

  • force refresh all equations in .odt when printing

Can anyone be bothered to make a bug report?

Those whom it affects should make the bug report, How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki
