I am working on a couple of rather long documents (the shorter one comes to 14 pages, while the longer one is ~70), and I’ve been noticing a lot of weird behaviors regarding page breaks when I deal with my Table of Contents.
For both documents, I’m using identical page styles and a central TOC that is a mildly tweaked version of the LibreOffice default.
Every once in a while, when I adjust the TOC, my page breaks and frames get all screwed up. I think that the page break is related to the disappearing frames, as that seems to predicate some page count weirdness. My page-anchored frames disappear; I can still select them using the TOC link if they have the appropriate setup.
Furthermore, near the end of the longer document, I have something like a dozen tables that sit in frames (because they were taken out from the text proper and placed there temporarily until I figure out a way to remove the formatting issues). These have never disappeared on me like frames containing text, but they occasionally are moved over to the wrong page. Copying and pasting them fixes the issue.
Is this a flaw with using page anchoring? Is there any other way to fix this if I need to put, say, a table at the bottom of a page where it won’t move.
