Freezing of columns in a calc document gets disabled when window is smaller than frozen area at program start

This might be a feature and I am sure there is a good intention behind. But it’s current implementation has a big disadvantage and I would like to disable it.

Why do I want to disable it:

In our company there is a calc document, witch is used by several users. It has a big frozen area at left hand side. When a user opens it after he had worked on a different, narrow calc table, it opens with the same narrow window and the freezing will be disabled.

In most cases, he will enlarge the window, work on the document, curse about the lack of frozen columns, and save it. He probably doesn’t know how to set frozen columns.

Next User doesn’t have the frozen columns at all, no matter what size his window has.

I think, instead of disable without asking, there should pop up a message with options for disabling, enlarging the window or cancel (open window with freezing). But that’s not the topic here.

I only want to know, is there a way to avoid the automatic disabling of frozen columns?

This happens not only with a reduced window size, but also when zooming in.
