Fresh install of latest Help msi with latest LO 7.5.3.2 does not work properly in Writer, Calc, etc

Have Win11, using Edge as browser, installed LO 7.5.3.2 and the related offline help msi file.

When I press F1 or click on Help in LO any module, it opens a webpage with a new document called “NewHelp0.html” with nothing in it. Help has worked properly in past updates.

I have uninstalled both and re-installed both with no change. I have started LO in safe mode, no change.

Any suggestions? Thanks,

Dean

Works for me with
Version: 7.5.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 9f56dff12ba03b9acd7730a5a481eea045e468f3
CPU threads: 16; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22621; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: es-ES (es_ES); UI: en-US Calc: CL threaded
and Firefox or Microsoft Edge as default browser.

Make sure you allow JavaScript for local files. (no idea if that even is a thing with your browser on Windows, whatever that might be).

“Edge” by Microsoft derived from Chromium by Google as in

I found the location for LO’s help on my PC. When I attempt to open it in LO, it says that the file is open by someone else. When using Task Manager, I am the only user listed. I think this may be the problem but I have no idea what to do about it. Suggestions?

Help should open in your default web browser, not in LibreOffice.

Maybe go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features right click LibreOffice Help and select Repair

If that doesn’t work, uninstall help, download the help installation again paying particular attention to match LibreOffice installation, that is 32 bit or 64 bit. Save the msi somewhere and install it from File Explorer not from the web browser.
