Grid does not display

LibreOffice v. 25.8.2.1 (X86_64). Windows 10 X86_64 (build 19045).

The grid can be quite faint on some displays and if the brightness is turned up too far the dots might not be visible. You can calibrate your display in Start menu > System > Display > Colour management > Colour calibration

You could also, in LibreOffice, click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance > Customizations , select Text Grid and set the colour to black to increase contrast.

I suggest you to use a bigger subdivision than those by default

EarnestAl and Bantoniof, done and done. No grid so far.

I find that at a zoom of 180% or above, the grid disappears on my laptop screen although it is clearly visible if I shift the window to the external monitor. I suspect my previous laptop might not have been able to display the grid at all.
It is much fainter than the grid in Draw.
See Bug 89544 - Writer grid dots are barely visible for comfortable work

EarnestAl, thank you for your contribution.
With a white background and grid lines set as black, View > Zoom > 100%
does show very faint horizontal grid lines, visible enough to use if I squint.

LibreOffice Writer doesn’t show grid lines the way it did several years ago.
But just for grid lines, I wouldn’t go back and give up other improvements.

Using LibreOffice 26.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64),
a very faint grid still appears only with View > Zoom > 100% .
I suppose that is the best I can do until I learn how to thicken black grid lines.
