Suddenly half of all my text documents will not open in LibreOffice on one of my computers. I use a file server, MyBookLive from Western Digital. I have three computers running Windows XP 32 bit, they do not experience the problem. Only the one using Windows 10 64 bit have the problem. To me it looks like if the odt file is small and without bullets and numbering it is more likely to be opened, but there are exceptions. When a file is not opened the LibreOffice window just have the top in color and the rest is gray. I have to eventually close the LibreOffice window and remove the .~lock… file.
The only thing I can say about when it happened is that Microsoft changed the password on my computer from my computer password to my Microsoft account password when I logged in there. That meant that I lost connection to my file server while I had LibreOffice documents open. I changed my Microsoft account password to my computer password, that meant that my computer got its password back and I then got connection with my file server mounts again. From then on I have had the problems as described above.
I have removed LibreOffice, shut down the computer and installed LibreOffice again. I have tried both 64- and 32 bit version, but the problem is still there unchanged. When it happened I ran LibreOffice 5.0.4 when I reinstalled I used LibreOffice 5.2.3.
Are there anybody out there who can say anything about this or have I stumbled upon a bug in LibreOffice that I need to report?
