Having troubles with indenting

I am currently running 25.8.4.2 on Windows 10. Ever since updating, I have had troubles with indenting on my writings.

I indent using the tab button. The paragraph stays in that format until I hit Enter, at which point it goes back to the left side of the page. I have used the Styles feature as well as the indentation bar at the top and nothing is being saved. I end up having to go back to the beginning of the paragraph and hit Tab.

If your entire document body text will use the indent, then change Body Text style to have an indent. Body text style is automatically set to follow Heading n paragraph style. It can be applied with Ctrl+0 if you need to change out of another style.

• In the Sidebar under paragraph styles, right click Body text style and select Edit style
• In the new dialogue that opens, select the Indents and spacing tab
• Under Indents, First Line set the indent to 12.7 mm (1/2"). OK

You won’t have to make a pretend indent for new paragraphs but will get a true indent automatically
