Heading style is indented when indent is set to zero

Hi,

I have a style ‘Heading 2’ which is set to zero indent but renders with an indent of about half x height. All the heading styles are inherited from ‘Heading’ and set to zero indent and none of the others are indented this way.

I tried deleting or hiding ‘Heading 2’ so I could recreate it, but Writer won’t allow me to delete it because it’s a default style name or, if hidden, won’t allow to recreate because the name exists. I can’t use a non-standard style name as the document is used by pandoc as a style reference.

Is there some other setting style setting that could be affecting this one?

Is this a bug?

Cheers,

It looks a bit like a regression but apparently not. See Bug 118666 - Headings are indented when pasting as unformatted text

Are your headings numbered? If so, there are part of a numbered list and the indent is not controlled by the paragraph style but by a list style. Settings for this internal list style are located in Tools>Heading Numbering.

For best analysis, attach a sample document.

Thanks!

I’ve solved the issue for now by setting a negative indent for the offending style.

The headings aren’t numbered and I’m pretty sure the issue is with the style rather than the content.

I’ll simplify the document and upload in a day or two.
