libre office5.0.2 on to my pc with reinstalled vista but I cannot get it to install. when I click on download it does nothing

You are using Vista? Brave man!
LO-5 on Windows appears to be a complete dog, and particularly with later versions. However, UAC started with Vista, so it is possible that you may also have problems installing 4.x. See Q56157 for a full checklist to help install on Vista & later.
LO-5 is from LibreOffice Fresh (aka beta software). Perhaps use LibreOffice Still (more stable) until the developers learn to code for modern Windows.

- Have you actually downloaded the installation-file to your computer yet?
- Tell us step-by-step (with error messages) what happens.
- You do know that activating a Windows’ binary requires a double-click?

I have downloaded the file
and now I have downloaded 3 versions
nothing happens with 5.0.2 win 86
or 4.45 win 86
with the 5.02 win 64, I get the error message
the installation is not supported by your processor type. contact your vendor
yes I have double clicked and right clicked etc
What cpu are you using? Did you go through the list in Q56157?
From the web site to download LO you will be redirected to the Donation Page. If it does not download click on the filename upper third top. The file name is: LibreOffice_5.0.2_Win_x86.msi for the 32bit version and LibreOffice_5.0.2_Win_x64.msi for the 64bit version.
