How can I change the auto input text?

Using Libre Calc. In a dollars column, I want to enter 10.62 but when I type 10 the auto input displays 10.62d. So if I press the tab key, the input is 10.62d and not $10.62.

How can I access the list of auto input suggestions to change the “10.62d” to “10.62” ?
Thanks.

My first tip: switch off the feature.
My second tip: (if you want to use the feature anyway): enter a space after the 10.62, then hit Enter (or TAB).

Second tip does not work. I previously tried that with no joy. Thanks though.

Works for me, also with Del (instead of Space).
LibreOffice 7.3.6.2 on Linux and 7.3.7.2 on Windows.

Upstairs there must be a cell with 10.62d. Find it and correct it. It is not the dollars column?

The AutoInput function “automatically completes entries, based on other entries in the same column”.

Yes, you are correct! There was a previous entry that had “10.62d” in it. After correcting that entry, when I type “10” the auto input does nothing. I have to type “10.62” and when I press TAB, the entry changes to “$10.62”. (Note that there are other entries in that column like “$10.46”, etc. so the “10.62” is not unique to that column.)
Thanks! I marked your post as the solution.
