How can I contribute to the spelling in a dictionary?

I am a biologist student, and I would be glad to improve the English spelling dictionary of LibreOffice with the terminology of natural sciences. Where can I do that?

English dictionaries have no upstream

Which variant of English (en_AU, en_CA, en-GB, en_US, en_ZA) is being referred to? There is no effective up-stream provider for the default English dictionaries used by LO, refer bug fdo#79751. Anyone wanting to take over the job of maintaining one of these English variants needs to consider it is a time-consuming task requiring a great deal of consideration of the variants indicated.

Create a field-specific extension

To me, the request sounds more like a desire to add field-specific terms. Terms of a field-specific nature should be made available via a dictionary extension. Even cultural dictionaries are often added in this manner to allow greater control. A list of currently available dictionary extensions can be found here.
