How can I hide 'Tasks' by default in Impress?

I rarely create presentations with LibreOffice Impress: I mostly use it to read them.

For that reason, the ‘Tasks’ panel at the right side of the window is useless to me. I can close it, but it will pop up the next time I open LibreOffice Impress.

How can I hide this ‘Tasks’ panel by default in LibreOffice Impress? If it helps, I’m using Arch Linux.

The instructions for activating the new Sidebar (in v4.1) and then turning off the display of the sidebar works for me under Crunchbang. The sidebar overrides the default right side panel.
