I use windows10.
My second hard drive crashed. (D: drive) It’s currently at a data center getting the data recovered.
I need to install LibreOffice on the system drive now… (Drive C:_
Since then my computer has now assigned my DVD drive to drive D: (The Drive Letter I originally installed LibreOffice onto)
the installer doesnt know what to do and gives me this error…
see thread below:
This is really dumb… Why does the installer attempt to reference the old install and drive letter if it cannot find it on the system… it prevents any fresh installs… please let me know where I can report this to the developers because… if you have a major data crash like I had… you cannot even install the software over again until you trick the installer into ‘finding’ the drive letter you originally had the software installed to…
I had to assign a random hard drive drive letter D: just to make the install work… and then uninstall it… then I had to disable the drive letter entirely and only then could I install libreoffice again on the C: Drive…
