How do I assign a new macro to a keyboard shortcut?

Hi!

After having changed some options in Calc, I was able to record a macro.
I should mention that I use Version: 6.4.7.2 - Build ID: 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 on Ubuntu 20.04.
But I can’t find a way to assign it to a keyboard combination?
The last time I used a macro (many years ago) it was assigned to a keyboard shortcut, so that you can execute it fast. To me, that is the whole point in macros… But what do you do in LibreOffice Calc?
(It was also quite cumbersome to name the macro…)

Hello,

to asssign a macro to a shortcurt use:

  • Tools -> Customize -> Tab: Keyboard
  • Under Category scroll down and expand LibreOffice Macros and select your macro.
  • Under Shortcut Keys select a key which is not yet assigned to any function
  • Click button Modify and watch your shortcut to appear in pane Keys

I am using Version: 24.2.5.2 (AARCH64) and the OS is Ubuntu 24.04. My attempts to assign a keyboard shortcut to my macro don’t work because the Customize → Keyboard → Category box doesn’t have ‘LibreOffice Macros’ in the list. I have reinstalled LibreOffice Office and deleted registrymodifications.xcu,
but it still doesn’t work. Any ideas?

It has! Scroll down!
