I currently have some Text in a LibreOffice Writer Document, separated on different lines (with Carriage Returns), and each line of text has a different Font (sometimes called Font Family, example: Arial, Calibri, Georgia, etc.). There are a lot of lines.
I want to copy this text in Calc as a “one time deal”, and keep all the Text Formatting that’s in my Writer document. For each line in my Writer document, I want them to be pasted in separate distinct Cells in a Calc sheet (and keep it’s text Fonts and Formatting ).
When I select all the lines in Writer, then paste in Calc, the text is pasted in Calc in separate cells, but all Fonts are lost, NO MATTER what type of “Paste special” I try. I can double click in each separate Cell and paste each line of text manually, but that will take too long. I could also manually select each cell afterwards and change the Font type of each separate cell manually, but that also would take too long. Even if I try pasting Tables that are in a Writer document, into a Calc sheet, that doesn’t work, Font Type is lost.
Is there any type of “Exporting” possible, from Writer to an ods File? Is there any way to paste into a Calc file and keep all text formatting?
I’m ripping my hair out trying to keep Fonts and Formatting copying text between Writer documents and Calc sheets. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
