Sometimes after making a table, it’s blank to the bottom of the page. I can not delete the space and put text under the table.
FOUND IT ! Or a friend did. Right click on the table, at the bottom, hit Table Properties.

If the table is followed by a Heading and you have widow and or orphan control on this can happen.
The Heading normally has in properties > Text flow Keep with next paragraph so it stays with the test underneath it.
In the following paragraph (often Text Body) the default for Properties > Text flow > Widow control, unless changed, is 2 lines. This means if you have only 2 lines of of a 6 line paragraph on the page with the table then that paragraph will start on the next page; its heading will be forced to the next page too. Something similar happens with orphan control.
You can change the settings for Widow or Orphan, or increase the row height in the table to take up some more space. Cheers, Al
