The problem
Hi everyone,
I am pretty new to Libreoffice Calc so I am having a pretty rough time trying to solve this specific problem.
I have a large column like this:
A
B
(empty cell)
(empty cell)
C
(empty cell)
(empty cell)
(empty cell)
and I want it to look like this:
A
B
B
B
C
C
C
C
So essentially I want to fill down the column so that the empty cells take the value of the first non-empty cell above. In Excel I believe I solved this problem using PowerQuery, but I cannot find any such thing in Libreoffice Calc.
Is there a way to do this easily? If not, I guess I am fine with writing a macro I just want to avoid it if I can so I am writing this post.
