How do I find and remove duplicate cells in calc?

I have two columns of data. I want to find and manually remove any duplicates. Could be one in column A, one in column B.

I have looked at the manual, and the Duplicate function under Data seems to only remove entire rows or columns!

Also, when I was looking for answers to this question, I wanted to find answers that were no older than a few years old. I went to advanced search functions, and under date I could select either before or anus. Not a joke! And it wouldn’t let me select anus. I took a screen shot (see attached).

Since version 25.2.3 (?) and 25.8.0 (?). tdf#85976

you can just tick “select” and manually empty them.

if you really can’t select (maybe a problem with your broswer), you can type directly in the search field :

Thank you! The link: [Auto highlight duplicate entries in calc ] worked. The steps weren’t quite what I see, but I could figure it out.
