How do I install the previous version before 25.8.4.2?

I just installed the latest version of LibreOffice, 25.8.4.2, and I HATE it! Why did they have to fix what wasn’t broken? The icons in the toolbar at the top (File, Edit, Open, etc.) are TINY and in black and white instead of color. I’m pushin’ 70 and my vision has been declining, I like the old toolbar way better. I can’t find a feature that says “Toolbars” and I tried “Help” but it lead me down rabbit holes and I’m not a happy camper. Right after I was about to put in the book I’m working on what a fantastic software LibreOffice is! Maybe not now.

Now I gotta sit and wait for replies from users way smarter and more experienced than me, but who knows how soon that’ll be??? Color me pissed.

Are there urgent reasons?
If so, please explain.

Downgrading isn’t quite as simple as upgrading. You need to uninstall the version you have, and get the installer for the older version (and the offline help) from
Index of /libreoffice/old and install it.
That version may lack some features developed for 25.8.

There isn’t a single “previous version”. The most stable available older version should be 25.2.7, the final sub-version in the 25.2. series.
