I have several printers on my system but the one I usually prefer is not the one that is the default chosen by LO-Writer, nor is it the one that is the Windows 7 system default. I can change it in the File > Printer Settings… menu but that only holds until I exit from LO. The next time it is back to being the one I do not want. How can I make my selection stick around between invocations of Writer? Do I need to go hunting in the Windows Registry? (Ugh!)

Also in Options > Load/Save> General there are two settings under Load which default to being set.
One of these is “Load printer settings with the document” which I think is what you want.
