How do i split the window in writer?

i would like to split the window in the writer, but don’t find how to do it. i have version 5.4.3.2 of libre office

There is no splitter. But you can have the document in two windows (‘Window’ > ‘New’) and arrange these windows as needed. This allows to switch between different views to work on.
