How do I stop the Track Changes message from appearing each time I open a chapter file that I am updating? Tracking changes are switched off until I finish the update.

If you expect any decent answer, edit your question (click on …, then on the pencil tool – don’t use a comment) to describe your document structure: is it a master+subdocuments? Is it based on a template? Do you format using styles (which you modified since last time you opened the file)?
Don’t forget to mention OS name, LO version and save format.
For best diagnostic, attach a short sample file.
It is my question.
I am one of the volunteer Technical Writers on LibreOffice, which means I am constantly updating the LO user guides and chapters. This message appears at the top the LO window each time I open a file. Tracking and recording changes is switched until I complete editing of a file and the Track Changes toolbar is NOT selected.

I still don’t understand.
Do you open “directly” some .odt file or “indirectly” from a master?
Can you give me a link to some specific file?
Hello
It does not matter what method I use to open a file and it happens on every Writer file I open.
I do not use master files.
This only happens in macOS using LibreOffice 24.2.
Windows and Ubuntu operating systems are OK.
