Is it possible to zoom in into a part of a inserted picture live during presentation. For example we have pic of flower and want to zoom into a petal and highlight some part of it during a presentation.
As far as I’m aware, it is not possible as such, but somebody else might know better.
You can, however, simulate the effect by having a zoomed version of your picture on another slide and use whatever transition effect you wish, e.g. click on a region of the image to trigger the transition.
There is another free and open-source presentation program called Impressive (http://impressive.sourceforge.net) which does allow for live zooming as you describe, as well as other cool highlighting effects. It will work with presentations in pdf files or folders of jpeg’s. So you can use LO Impress to create your presentation, export as a pdf, and then use impressive to deliver your presentation. If you are working on a Windows system, it can even be run portably from a USB drive.
Warning: Webroot SecureAnywhere detects the following threats with Impressive:

pygame.pixelcopy.pyd: W32.Adware.Gen
